We offer our clients a range or therapy services including Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Dietetics and Exercise Physiology. We are planning for rapid growth over the next 12 months and will be expanding our services across Australia.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist in Rockhampton.
About The Occupational Therapy Role
You will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of services to eligible in the community and within our paediatric clinic. Our clients will either require stand-alone treatment or will be treated within a multi-disciplinary team.
Adult Case Load
Your case load will be rehabilitation focused and will require knowledge in the provision of equipment prescription, minor home modifications, upper limb therapy, retraining of activities of daily living, complex pain management, oedema management, cognitive assessment/retraining and delivering manual handling training to family and care providers.
The caseload is extremely varied (and stimulating) and includes referrals under a range of Government-funded programs including Department of Veteran Affairs, Transition Care, Hospital in the Home, Palliative Care, Community Home Support Program and Home Care packages
Paediatric Case Load
In this role you will bring your passion for working with children to our multidisciplinary team. We are an approved provider to FaHCSIA and provide services under Better Start and Helping Children with Autism finding packages.
You will work closely with families to assess and identify areas of concern, develop and implement treatment plans, and conduct regular evaluations and reviews. The Occupational Therapy program addresses all areas of a child’s development and delivers a range of treatment and intervention models.
As an integral team member, you will be equipped with the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Formal qualifications as an Occupational Therapist
- Have, or be eligible for full membership with AHPRA
- Minimum two (2) years clinical experience
- Exceptional communication, analytical and time management skills
- Current National Police Certificate
- Full current Driver’s License
